Shrewsbury House School

Broadwater were engaged at an early stage to develop the electrical design for this project, which included new changing facilities and a modern clubhouse. The design was guided by principles of energy efficiency and sensitivity to the surrounding environment.

Our scope covered full design development and product specification for mains distribution, including a new upgraded incoming UKPN supply, lighting, power, fire and security systems, and mechanicalpower and controls  A full commercial kitchen with integrated ventilation and fire suppression was incorporated during the design phase, providing a flexible space to allow the school to host a wider variety of events.

EV charging infrastructure, both active and passive, was installed to support the school’s transition to electric minibuses and further enhance energy efficiency.

Given the site’s sensitive location, extensive ecological surveys were carried out, and mitigation measures were implemented to protect the local fauna, ensuring the project balanced functionality, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
